2. Revit - New Project

Hi friends Hope all are doing good. Today we are going to talk about New Project.

Please refer my earlier posts to know about Revit Home Screen.

In Revit Home screen, Go to project bowers and select “New”, it will popup “Project Browser”. Then select “Browse…” which will direct you to windows explorer.

Now we need to select the project template.

For that, Navigate to “C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2015

If you can’t find “Programdata” then type “Folder option” in Start menu.

In Folder Option -> View -> scroll down to “Hidden files and folders” select “Show hidden files, folders and drivers”

Now you can view Program data

In some cases, RVT 2015 folder doesn’t install during the installation process.

In such cases, you may need to download the file from internet.

RVT 2015 Folder you need to go "Template folder"

Then two folders may appear based on your installation package “US Imperial & US Metric

Based on the project requirement you may need to select US Imperial (Feet & Inches) & US Metric (Meters & Millimeters). in my case I select Us Metric

Then select the template file “DefaultMetric.rte”

It will direct you to project browser & ensure that “Project“ menu is selected in the “Create new” Menu

Click “OK” New project will open

That's It. Hope you might have known something about Revit today.

Thank you & Bye.
